The Balancing Brew
Would you like to work as a waiter in one of our medieval fantasy taverns? Great! Are you ready?
You'll serve customers with your tray and collect it from tables. Sounds easy, right? Not quite.
Our customers are particular. What you serve will sometimes be very heavy and unusual.
- Will you be able to keep your balance and not drop anything?
Then put yourself to the test and come to our tavern.
We look forward to seeing you!
Rules
Goal of the game is to successfully deliver items to customers in the tavern while not dropping th tablet that you are holding. Dropping the tablet or letting the timer run out will cost a life.
You will play several rounds consisting of two phases.
Delivery phase:
- At the counter interacting with your boss will place items on your tablet and start a timer
- Deliver the items to the tables where a customer raises their hand
- Look at the table directly to interact with it
- A sound will notify you when all tables of the round ar served
Clean up phase:
- The timer is still running
- You have the option to directly go back to you boss to finish the round and immediately start the next one
- But there are some customers who raised their hand again
- Interacting with their table will give you items to clean up
- Bringing the items to your boss while finishing the the round will give you extra money but keep in mind that the timer is still running
The difficulty will raise every round. You win the game after the 12th round.
Try to earn as much money as possible while not getting fired and share your highscore in the comments
Note:
This game was created using the Unreal Engine. Our challenge was to keep the file size as small as possible. Therefore, we relied on a lot of dynamic lighting and didn't create a light build. Unfortunately, only 4 point lights were allowed. But we have a lot of candles ^^. So we built the shader so that we could use more than 4 lights. These are called fake lights.
Everything visible in the level is our own creation. Only the music and sound are from freesound.org.
